Handling Adobe Flash Player security error

To be able to view the Flash tutorials in Avaya one-X Agent online help, you must have minimum Adobe Flash Player 7.0 installed on your system. If you do not have Adobe Flash Player installed, the system displays a message prompting you to install the Flash Player on your system.

Moreover, the Avaya one-X Agent online help may also display an Adobe Flash Player Security message when you open the help page containing a Flash tutorial. This message is displayed even after you have Adobe Flash Player installed on your system. This may continue to happen until the appropriate settings are done on the Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager.

Prerequisites

Popup blocker for your default browser or the browser in which the help opens must be disabled while performing this procedure.

The following steps describe how to resolve the messages displayed for installing Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Flash Player Security.

  1. If the message displayed prompts you to install Adobe Flash Player, click Install and install the Adobe Flash Player.
  2. If Adobe Flash Player Security message is displayed, click Settings.

    This opens the Flash Player Help page in a browser displaying the Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager window.

    CAUTIONCAUTION

    Clicking OK on the message window temporarily resolves the error. The message is displayed again on next page containing Flash tutorial.

  3. On he Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager window, select Always allow option.
  4. Close the browser displaying Flash Player Help page.
